NOSE IMPLANTS

The purpose of this operation is to eliminate nose deformaties that are inborn  as a result injury thus securing harmony between nose and face... "A pretty face is a mute recommendation" (F. Bacon). The human face is an original visiting-card, and the nose is the central and mostly protruding part of the face. The form of the nose may change the expression of a person's face very much, e.g. a hooked nose will always make you look older, a slightly pug-nosed person look younger, the nose after trauma will create an aggressive appearance.

Before the operation

During the consultation general examination of the patient's nose and face is made. Deformation of the profile and the end of the nose is evaluated and  consideration is given as to whether there is a curvature of the nose pin. The width of the nose is also evaluated and the angles of the nose and lips as well as that of the nose and forehead are analysed.

To achieve the optimum result of the  surgery, it is very important for there to be a uniform understanding between the patient and the surgeon about the post-surgery result. During the consultation digital photographs are taken  and computer helps to model the expected results of the surgery. In the case of curvature of nose pin, it is recommended to consult an otho-rhino-laringologist surgeon, who should evaluate the amnesia of breathing, examine nostrils and endoscopically survey the cavities of the nose.

Surgery

The surgery lasts approximately for 1-2 hours. It is performed by making incisions through mucous membrane of inner nose (1 pic.), in more complicated cases, incision in
the nasal septum are made. (2 pic.). During the surgery deformation of cartilagine at the  tip  of the nose or cartilagine-osseous deformation at the back of the nose is corrected. The correction of a crook nose can also be made.
